NASA & Aerospace Industries
Eilon Engineering is proud to be involved with the supply of our Ron CraneMaster (for multiple point load monitoring) and Ron Crane Scales (for single point load monitoring), to NASA and Boeing on the CST-100 Starliner.
This futuristic mission is to safely launch and return NASA astronauts to and from the ISS. (International Space Station).
This particular operation at a NASA facility demanded the use of highly sophisticated and accurate scales to lower the upper capsule of the STARLINER precisely onto the lower capsule and be successfully joined together.
In this particular case, the Ron load cells were used with easily readable handheld displays, showing a real time load map of all loading points
Eilon Engineering is proud to celebrate more than twenty years of cooperation with NASA.
Uncompromised quality, efficiency and safety has led to the Ron Crane Scales range of systems becoming a “Must Have” by major companies such as NASA, Boeing, Ball Aerospace, Disney, GE, Hyundai, Vestas, Siemens, Lockheed Martin, Tait, United Launch Alliance and many others.
Ron Crane Scales and Wireless Load Monitoring Systems Unique Advantages:
Exceedingly small and lightweight, the Ron 2000 (wired) and Ron 2501 (wireless) systems feature high accuracy. (0.1% of full scale)
Portable wired and wireless crane scales that are perfect for low headroom applications.
Load cell and indicator units are separated, which increases safety and longevity.
2000 hours of battery life.
Fatigue rated load cells produced from aerospace steel for safety and long functionability.
Internal dampening mounts for protecting electronics from external shock.
Additional options for data logging, additional displays, serial data output and more.
Ron load cells can be purchased as part of a multi-point system capable of collecting measurement from up to 200 load cells.
40 years of measuring excellence and our ongoing success says it all.
Additional options are available on request.
